Stainless Steel 321 Plate

Stainless steel is available in various grades. One such grade is 321 that is stabilized austenitic steel and has good resistance to general corrosion. Stainless Steel 321 Plate is one of the products made up of this grade. It displays excellent resistance to intergranular corrosion when exposed to chromium carbide precipitation temperature range of 800 degrees F to1500 Degrees F. material used in Werkstoff 1.4541 Clad Plate is also resistant to oxidation at 1500 degrees C. it also displays higher stress to rupture and creep resistant properties along with toughness at low temperature.

321 Stainless steel sheet Suppliers recommend these sheets as they can be easily welded and fabricated. Heat treatment does not affect the sheets. Hence they are cold worked to get the desired hardness. SS 321H plates are ideally developed to be used in the range of 1500 degrees F to 1800 degrees F where the normal 304 grade is vulnerable to intergranular attack. It can be used at a moderated temperature in diluted organic acid. 321H Stainless steel sheet can also resist hydrocarbons and polythionic acid stress corrosion cracking. These sheets do not form well in sulfuric acid and chloride solutions.

ASTM A240 Type 321 Flat Shim has a precise design and dimensional accuracy. These plates are available in the thickness range of 3mm to 80mm. It is sturdy and is used in heavy machinery, thermal oxidizers, and expansion joints. Furthermore, UNS S32100 Polished Plates are also used in aircraft pistons, refinery equipment, aircraft exhaust stacks, and many more applications.
