Bars, pipes, and tubes are available in various materials, shapes, and sizes. One such bar made using Hastelloy is the Hastelloy Round Bar. it is made up of nickel, chromium, and molybdenum as a primary alloy with trace amounts of tungsten added to it. Hastelloy flat bar is said to be made up of one of the premier corrosion resistant materials. One of the advantages of using this Hastelloy shaft is the quality of corrosion resistance in oxidizing and the reducing environment. The addition of tungsten to the high content of chromium and molybdenum makes Hastelloy c276 hex bar resistant to chlorine related stress corrosion cracking.

The elements present in this alloy help the Hastelloy c276 rod to resist pitting and crevice corrosion. Environments containing oxidative chemicals are also suited for the use of Hastelloy c276 flat bar up to the temperature range of 1900 degrees F. Due to the low content of carbon in Hastelloy c276 bar stock carbide precipitation is avoided. This helps in using the Hastelloy c22 bar in the welded condition. Though these Hastelloy b3 round bars cannot be hardened by heat treatment they can definitely be hardened by cold working. Hastelloy x round bar has a higher work hardening rate as compared to other austenitic steel. Hastelloy c4 round bar supplied by us can be easily processed and welded using conventional fabrication techniques.

Werkstoff 2.4819 Rectangular bars are also said to perform well in marine environments even in crevice conditions where the regular stainless steel tends to fail. Hastelloy c round bar is used in sour wells where the sour natural gas is recovered and processed. These Hastelloy b2 round bars can also sustain hydrogen sulfide, carbon dioxide, and chlorides that are present in these sour wells. Hastelloy c276 UNS N10276 Bright Bar is resistant to sulfur related stress corrosion cracking due to the chemistry of Hastelloy.
