Stainless Steel 316L Plate
Grade 316 of stainless steel is further modified to deprive it of the carbon content in it. This is denoted by the letter L suffixed to the 316 number in Stainless Steel 316L Plate. They display superior resistance to corrosion. Environments that do not corrode will not attack this grade of stainless steel. Stainless Steel 316L Hot Rolled Plate contains less molybdenum at times and is less resistant to corrosion in highly oxidizing acids such as nitric acid. It can be used in high concentration solutions up to 120 degrees F and performs well in sulfur containing environments.

Stainless steel 316L sheet is said to perform well in acetic acid and 20% boiling phosphoric acid. We are supplier of widely used in the food and pharmaceutical industries as these industries have a lot of organic and fatty acids which can be handled efficiently by ASTM A240 Type 316L diamond plate. This helps in minimizing the efforts of product contamination. It also performs well in freshwater service that contains a high level of chloride. These sheets also display resistance to corrosion in a marine environment. SS 316L perforated sheet has a high content of molybdenum which ensures that they resist pitting in chloride solution applications even in an oxidizing environment.
UNS S31603 Polished plates are non-magnetic in annealed condition however welding and cold working magnetizes them to some extent. They can be used in streams containing chlorides and halides. DIN 1.4404 Stainless steel Clad Plate also resists intergranular corrosion to some extent. And display good toughness in cryogenic temperatures as well. They can be fabricated using conventional methods as well.

SA240 Gr316L Plate Mirror Finish Heat Resistance
- In Grade 316 continuous use at 425-860°C is not recommended if corrosion resistance in water is required. Due to which high strength is required and hence 316L is recommended that has resistant of temperatures above 500°C.
