Stainless Steel 304 Round Bar

These can be further bifurcated into various grades depending upon the amount of a particular element added to it. Stainless Steel 304 Round Bar is one such bar made up of versatile grades of stainless steel. ASTM A276 Type 304 displays good formability and weldability. Stainless steel 304 angle bar can be manufactured with or without the use of filler metals and can be molded using standard fusion technique. The welded section of ASTM A276 304 Stainless Steel may require an annealing treatment after heavy welding for maximum corrosion resistance. 304 stainless steel round rod offers excellent resistance to corrosion in different atmospheric conditions and different corrosive media. 304 Stainless steel half round bar is also said to be resistant to corrosion in potable water that contains 200 ml of chloride. In case of temperature above 60 degrees C the resistance to corrosion of these 304 SS Hollow Bars reduces to 150mg/l.

304 Stainless steel round bar is said to be resistant to oxidation at a temperature of 870 degrees C in intermittent service and a temperature of 925 degrees C in continuous service. 304 Stainless steel rods are not recommended to be used in the temperature range of 425 degrees C to 860 degrees C for a continuous long period of time. Especially if the aqueous corrosion resistance of SS 304 Round Bar is important for the application. 304 Stainless Steel Hex Bar is said to have low carbon content. This helps the stainless steel 304 round bar resistant to carbide precipitation and is widely used in applications where the 304 SS Bar can be heated to the said temperature.

SS 304 bright bars are said to display higher strength at high temperatures. Hence these 304 stainless round barscan be used in applications that work above 500 degrees C up to 800 degrees C. These stainless steel 304 flat bars tend to become sensitized between the temperature range of 425 degrees C to 860 degrees C. Though this property of the stainless steel 304 threaded bar is not a hindrance in its use in high temperature application. However, it can result in SS 304 Square Bar displaying lower aqueous corrosion resistance.
